I am not a dermatologist. I simply believe people should be more informed and aware of problems that can arise from unhealthy skin. The National Institute of Occupational Safety & Health (NIOSH) found that 884 chemicals used in personal care products and cosmetics are known to be toxic! Yet, cosmetics are among the least-regulated products on the market. Major loopholes in U.S. federal law allow the $50 billion cosmetics industry to put unlimited amounts of chemicals into personal care products with no required testing, no monitoring of health effects and inadequate labeling requirements.
